Verify three configuration choices

Confirm the protocol your client expects, the API base URL, and the exact model ID currently available to your account. A display name may differ from a callable ID. A compatible entry point does not establish support for every protocol. Check current official guides before choosing an example.

Run tests in a local terminal or controlled server environment. Keep keys out of browser frontend code, public repositories, screenshots, and support tickets. Set a small budget and use a revocable test credential with suitable permissions. Chat subscriptions do not automatically provide application API access or credits.

Send one minimal request

This example illustrates the Chat Completions request shape only. Run it after confirming that the current protocol and selected model support it. YOUR_API_KEY and YOUR_MODEL_ID are placeholders; substitute them through controlled local configuration without exposing credentials in shared terminal records. The request may incur a charge and has no automatic retry.

curl --max-time 30 https://www.nexotoken.net/v1/chat/completions \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"model":"YOUR_MODEL_ID","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Reply with OK."}],"stream":false}'

Validate the result, then expand

Check the HTTP status, response shape, content, and any usage fields defined by the protocol. A 200 response still needs successful parsing by your application. For failures, inspect the path, authentication method, model ID, and permissions before sending more paid requests.

Save redacted configuration, client version, and test date. Add one variable at a time: instructions, longer context, then streaming. This makes regressions easier to locate before you add cancellation, timeout, budget, and monitoring behavior.
